About The Falcons!

The Dublin Falcons  program was originally founded in the 1968 as the Dublin Knights. The program has since expanded to cover the Tri-Valley area (Dublin, Pleasanton, Castro Valley, Livermore, Danville, and San Ramon). The Falcons are part of a very competitive Delta Youth Football League. The Delta League has been known to have kids in their  program advance to play competitive football in College and NFL teams. For further information about the league we play in please visit www.dyfl.com.

The Falcons football and cheer programs stress positive work ethics on and off the field, good sportsmanship and, naturally, the athletic skills to be to perform successfully. Each member of the Falcons program is required to maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) as a condition for joining the team. A report card/progress report is one of the Delta League requirements as part of the registration process. Report cards and or progress reports can and will be asked for throughout the season.

The Dublin Falcons operate the organization off volunteers. Volunteers play a vital role in the success of the organization.

Football Program:
Our Football program consists of two main goals for our players. The first goal is to ensure that the players develop a love for the game. We want to make sure all of the players are having a log of fun while they learn about the game of football. As we develop their physical skills to become a better football player, we will also instill the values such as teamwork, hard work, belief, responsibility, commitment, and community, showing them that football is more than just a sport. By learning about these values while also learning about the sport, they will develop a love for this game, keeping them interested and playing for the years to come. The second goal of the program is to prepare the players for the next level, high school football. Our program mirrors Dublin High School's football systems. We are working with the same offense, defense, and special teams. We even use the same naming conventions as they do. In doing this, by the time our players reach the high school level, they will have the ability to learn and adapt more quickly to the high school's program. But even if a player does not attend Dublin High School, the skills and general knowledge about the game that the player will learn in our program will still provide them with the ability to learn and adapt more quickly to any high school program.

Our 2010 season kicks off July  with the first practice. Weekly games (usually held on Saturdays) run through November.  League playoffs take place in December.

Cheer Program

Our program is focused on teaching children the technique of cheer routines, jumps, tumbling, stunts and dance while promoting self confidence and leadership skills. It is our mission to provide a positive yet disciplined training program to grow our children to the next level of cheer. Our Varsity cheerleaders often move on to compete at high school level. Cheerleaders will learn dozens of sideline cheer routines with up to date technique and form to perform during football games. In addition, participants will learn sideline dance and cheer routines to perform during timeouts. A full half-time performance routine including dance, jumps, tumbling and stunts are taught.

Our program focuses on safety and conforms to the Delta Youth Football League safety guidelines. In addition, coaches focus on training and conditioning to develop strength to perform technique of jumps, tumbling and stunts safely.
